Memo Lalibela + Jo Malone Wild Bluebell

I got my sample of  Memo Lalibela . I can’t decide if I really want it, but I bought a Home Diffuser for €55. Crazy as it may sound but it intend to use it on my clothes and see if it can scent me! Perhaps even on my hair. Mixed it with WB and they complemented each other so well.  I sprayed Inle also from Memo at 10am. It is now 5pm and I can still smell it on my skin. Marfa lasted just as long but I enjoyed the aquatic notes in getting from Inle more. Inle is one I’ll consider getting in the future but I wont be getting Marfa.

Perfume Inventory Check-in

I have just counted how many perfumes I have and at some point I just need to stop accumulating and start enjoying them. I’ll keep writing here and record my perfume experience in the coming days.  I have 3 bottles I want to empty: Jo Malone Wild Bluebell - surprisingly long lasting. I’ve had this as early as 2014.  A memory I recall is using this sometime in  autumn in New York. I was with Christian and Julie at Times Square. Back then I have decided that this will be my wedding day perfume but much has changed since then. Will finish this but probably wont repurchase.  Penhaligon’s Artemesia - I got this because Christy just loves it. She loves vanilla smelling perfumes and I cant recall having a vanilla perfume back then. Perhaps Shalimar? But it is not the perfume you’ll think when you crave for a vanilla perfume. It’s okay. I like wearing this to sleep. Probably not a crowd pleaser if I wear it outside here in the Philippines.  Elizabeth Arden Lotus Green Tea - this is a perfume

Writing Again

I didn't realize it has been 5 years since I last wrote.  I wanted to abandon the blog and yet, maybe I should continue.  I feel like I am headed to a different path now, wishing to lead a more faithful life to God.  Yet I remain in conflict with what I want and what I need.  11 years have passed since I started earning money.  I hoarded clothes, shoes, makeup, skincare and many other things.  Looking back and making a rough estimate of how much money I have made, I should by now, at the age of 32, have a fully paid house and lot.  I can even add an SUV to that all fully paid in cash.  Or for that amount, I have already earned all the money I needed to buy what my dream closet would look like, all the luxury bags and shoes and I have listed down in a wish list and a watch from Cartier and 2 from Breguet and several jewelries. If only I have saved them until I can afford to buy what I really want.  With that money too, how much have I owed to the poor.  I am after all only a stewa

Organizing My Life

I started working at the age of 21 and after 6 years of working as a tax professional, I have accumulated quite a lot of things. Not that working in one of the Big 4 accounting firms in the Philippines pays really well, but I’m just quite lucky not to have much obligation at home. I’ve bought quite a lot of shoes, clothes, books, DVDs, bags, makeup, perfumes and especially skincare products just like any girl would – or maybe more than a normal girl would have. All these without a decent closet. As I write this, I am watching a video from RAEviewer.com and once in a while plucking my eyebrows. What really inspired me to write this today is a need to organize many aspects of my life. I just feel overwhelmed with the things that have accumulated in my room while I find myself lacking time to pursue other things like writing for this blog, reading a book, learning a new language, exercising, and taking care of my body and skin. At 132lbs. with 19.5kg of fats accumulated in my body, th

Yves Saint Laurent Paris - Jardins Romantique

First perfume I bought with my own money a.k.a. My First Job Perfume (2007) From Fragrantica : Groups: Floral   My Thoughts: I’ve never bought a perfume during my days as a student.  I’ve lived off mostly on colognes, cologne gels and some body sprays.  Filipinos love to smell good. No matter what their budget is, I’m inclined to believe that there is always a perfume or cologne stashed somewhere for special occasions if not used on a daily basis.  I can still remember the day I went to Rustan’s Makati when I got this perfume.  This may not be the best smelling one out there - there were other brands available of course.  Since I’ve already decided to purchase some cosmetics from YSL, I might as well get a perfume from them because of their promo card back then.  I can’t remember the amount of purchase necessary to get a premium item for free, but surely I bought quite a lot to get me a full sized bottle of Baby Doll – also from YSL.  I didn’t complete the

Acqua Di Gio - Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani - Acqua Di Gio 2nd year high school (1998) to 1st year college (2002) From Fragrantica : This fragrance was inspired by Giorgio Armani ’s’ holiday spent on the isle of Pantelleria. The scent of lazy summer days and freedom. Acqua di Gio achieved its high-quality status by perfectly harmonizing aquatic notes with sweet and fruity notes of muscat grapes from Pantelleria along with blending them successfully with the freshness of pineapple and citrus notes. Watermelon blends nicely with the notes of freesia, hyacinth and ylang-ylang. The warm, woody and musky base note remind of the Mediterranean warm temperament. This fragrance was created in 1995. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas .   Groups: Floral Fruity   Main Accords:  Floral     White Floral     Fresh     Green     Woody     My Thoughts Back in high school, I really love the perfume that my friend (Edra) has been using and that is Acqua di Gio.   Since I did n

Perfume Diaries

It's been a while since I last posted.   Since I'm really lazy to take pictures and I haven’t gotten around using my point and shoot camera, I thought of posting the perfumes I have used or the ones I’m currently using.   I can easily get pictures of them from the web.   Individual post on each perfume will be the succeeding posts. I don’t know my perfume preference yet.   However, through Fragrantica I think I can slowly find out my preferred notes on the perfumes I had and have.
