Organizing My Life

I started working at the age of 21 and after 6 years of working as a tax professional, I have accumulated quite a lot of things. Not that working in one of the Big 4 accounting firms in the Philippines pays really well, but I’m just quite lucky not to have much obligation at home. I’ve bought quite a lot of shoes, clothes, books, DVDs, bags, makeup, perfumes and especially skincare products just like any girl would – or maybe more than a normal girl would have. All these without a decent closet. As I write this, I am watching a video from RAEviewer.com and once in a while plucking my eyebrows. What really inspired me to write this today is a need to organize many aspects of my life. I just feel overwhelmed with the things that have accumulated in my room while I find myself lacking time to pursue other things like writing for this blog, reading a book, learning a new language, exercising, and taking care of my body and skin. At 132lbs. with 19.5kg of fats accumulated in my body...

Yves Saint Laurent Paris - Jardins Romantique

First perfume I bought with my own money a.k.a. My First Job Perfume (2007) From Fragrantica : Groups: Floral   My Thoughts: I’ve never bought a perfume during my days as a student.  I’ve lived off mostly on colognes, cologne gels and some body sprays.  Filipinos love to smell good. No matter what their budget is, I’m inclined to believe that there is always a perfume or cologne stashed somewhere for special occasions if not used on a daily basis.  I can still remember the day I went to Rustan’s Makati when I got this perfume.  This may not be the best smelling one out there - there were other brands available of course.  Since I’ve already decided to purchase some cosmetics from YSL, I might as well get a perfume from them because of their promo card back then.  I can’t remember the amount of purchase necessary to get a premium item for free, but surely I bought quite a lot to get me a full sized bottle of Baby Doll –...

Acqua Di Gio - Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani - Acqua Di Gio 2nd year high school (1998) to 1st year college (2002) From Fragrantica : This fragrance was inspired by Giorgio Armani ’s’ holiday spent on the isle of Pantelleria. The scent of lazy summer days and freedom. Acqua di Gio achieved its high-quality status by perfectly harmonizing aquatic notes with sweet and fruity notes of muscat grapes from Pantelleria along with blending them successfully with the freshness of pineapple and citrus notes. Watermelon blends nicely with the notes of freesia, hyacinth and ylang-ylang. The warm, woody and musky base note remind of the Mediterranean warm temperament. This fragrance was created in 1995. The nose behind this fragrance is Alberto Morillas .   Groups: Floral Fruity   Main Accords:  Floral     White Floral     Fresh     Green     Woody     My Thoughts Back in high school, I really love the pe...

Perfume Diaries

It's been a while since I last posted.   Since I'm really lazy to take pictures and I haven’t gotten around using my point and shoot camera, I thought of posting the perfumes I have used or the ones I’m currently using.   I can easily get pictures of them from the web.   Individual post on each perfume will be the succeeding posts. I don’t know my perfume preference yet.   However, through Fragrantica I think I can slowly find out my preferred notes on the perfumes I had and have. Chanel Emprise

Since I got the name of this blog from this pretty nail polish, I feel indebted to make my first post about it.  Emprise (569) is a limited edition nail polish form Chanel's Spring 2013 Collection PRINTEMPS PRÉCIEUX DE CHANEL.  Here is the picture from the Chanel website: Since I really love light colored nail polishes, especially those that are almost nude or pinkish, I took the plunge and bought my first nail polish from Chanel.  I'm not so sure if I like the color when I saw some swatches online, but since it looks so feminine in the model's fingers I just really need to have it.        I've been dreaming of getting something from the Holiday 2012 collection but I wasn't able to get anything.  I almost bought Rouge Allure Velvet in L'Impatiente but it's just so difficult to use.  Luckily I stopped by Rustan's that day to see if the Spring 2013 collection has already arrived and it's there....
