I started working at the age of 21 and after 6 years of working as a tax professional, I have accumulated quite a lot of things. Not that working in one of the Big 4 accounting firms in the Philippines pays really well, but I’m just quite lucky not to have much obligation at home.
I’ve bought quite a lot of shoes, clothes, books, DVDs, bags, makeup, perfumes and especially skincare products just like any girl would – or maybe more than a normal girl would have. All these without a decent closet.
As I write this, I am watching a video from RAEviewer.com and once in a while plucking my eyebrows. What really inspired me to write this today is a need to organize many aspects of my life. I just feel overwhelmed with the things that have accumulated in my room while I find myself lacking time to pursue other things like writing for this blog, reading a book, learning a new language, exercising, and taking care of my body and skin. At 132lbs. with 19.5kg of fats accumulated in my body, this is the biggest I have been all my life and I cannot seem to find time to exercise.
I take public transportation from my home to my work place and it normally takes more than 4 hours of my day. Work starts at 8:30am and ends at 6pm but I don’t see myself going home after 6pm. I normally stay until 7 or 8pm. I tried leaving the office at 6pm and I am home by 8:30pm at the earliest. From 8:30 to 11pm I only have 2 and half hours left before sleeping at 11. This is just one part of my life which I want to test and organize my commuting process. I will be writing a series of my attempts to put organization in my life. It will cover the following:
1. General Room Cleaning
2. Commuting
3. Exercising
4. Having a Healthier Diet
5. Organizing My Skincare Ritual
6. Organizing My Cosmetics
7. Perfume Library
8. Wardrobe Editing
9. Brush Dreaming
10. Shoe Cleaning
11. Bag Cleaning
12. Magazine Disposal
13. Designing My Closet
14. Cash Management
15. Room Decoration
I really like making lists and it makes me see some semblance of organization in my life. I wish for this blog to be filled with many positive things. Alas, I do not have that perfect life; yet I wish to make it as happy and less cluttered.
There are many women who take time to pick what they have to wear and I refuse to settle to wear what can only fit me. But for now, that’s all I can do while I go on this journey to shrink my waistline. To do that, I must check my wardrobe and see what can still fit me well yet at the same time put together a very professional look for the office.
I wish I can photograph well, but rather than not starting on it because of my poor skills in photography, I might as well just start practicing. It’s just like makeup, the more you use it, the better you get in applying it. But really, this blogging thing is something which I haven't gained any mastery, I am still learning. I am finding it difficult to write directly here. So I just start writing in MS Word and paste what I have written. I have tried to import my writings before to blogger but as I haven't written for a very long time, I have forgotten about it.
